Graduation Requirements
High school credit is posted at the end of each term, .25 credits per class with 8 credits possible in one year.
Complete credit in each of the General Education required courses listed below Any failing grade in a General Education class must be made up to earn a diploma. Credit can be made up through Edgenuity in a Credit Recovery class or at home.

Students must complete a full credit of at least three different levels of mathematics.

To fulfill the requirement a student must take 2 years of Biology, Earth Science, Chemistry, or Physics plus one additional year of science.

Preparing for the ACT (American College Test)
The Act is a commonly accepted college admissions test with four sections: English, math, reading and science. There is an additional writing section which may be required by some colleges. It is recommended that students take the ACT at least twice to try to get their best score.
To prepare for the ACT:
- Shmoop- is a state funded test preparation program. Students can create an account and access practice tests and drills in each of the four ACT subject areas. To create an account, follow the steps listed below
- Visit www.shmoop.com/utah/
- Find Blue Peak High School
- Click “Let’s Go”
- Answer “No” if you have never created an account.
- Enter the magic word: See your counselor for this information
- Fill in personal information
- Click “Create Account”
- Take practice tests and complete drills
- Utah Futures- connects you to Learning Express program. Learning Express has many test preparation options including ACT, SAT, and AP exams. To access Learning Express, follow the steps listed below:
- Log in to Utah Futures
- Select Popular Links on the top right
- Select Test Prep – Learning Express Library
- Select College Preparation Center
- Select Prepare for your ACT Test
- ACT Publication - a “Preparing for the ACT Test” practice test is available for free in the counseling office.
- Online ACT Preparation Materials- are also available on www.actstudent.org

What you can do if you think someone might be considering suicide:

Talk to the person you are worried about and ask if they are suicidal.

Watch for warning signs: depression and hopelessness, substance abuse, giving away possessions, dramatic mood changes, intense anger.

Safe Schools
The SafeUT Crisis Text and Tip Line is a statewide service providing real time crisis intervention to youth through texting, as well as a confidential tip program to handle tips on bullying, school threats of violence or emergencies. Text Line staff assists texters with a wide variety of problems, including emotional crisis, grief and loss, drug and alcohol problems, mental health issues, self-harm and suicidal behavior.

College and Career Readiness Plan
All students at Blue Peak High School have a yearly individual Plan for College and Career Readiness. The CCR meeting for seniors is held every year in August during registration for classes. Meetings for Juniors and Sophomores are held in April.
